To celebrate the launch of National Apprenticeship Week 2023 this week, we are proudly showcasing our newest RSC apprentices.
As part of our pledge to expand our national Apprenticeship Programme to 28 positions by spring 2024, we recently employed seven apprentices across a range of departments.
From Front of House and Operations to Automation and admin, they are working in a range of roles, learning on the job and earning a salary whilst studying towards a qualification.
Our apprenticeships are intended for people who want to take a work-based path into a career in theatre. The programme underpins our commitment to develop a diverse talent base and ensure fairer access to, and representation across, the performing arts sector.
We offer our apprenticeships in partnership with a nationwide network of 12 Associate Regional Theatres across the UK, alongside regional training providers Solihull College & University Centre and Stratford-upon-Avon College, and Chichester College. The specific focus is on young people with under-represented protected characteristics and/or from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
A further four apprentices are due to join the organisation in April and the remainder will be in post early next year.
