From Stratford-upon-Avon to Abu Dhabi, Matilda The Musical has officially performed in 100 cities across the world.
The phenomenally successful Matilda The Musical has hit a significant milestone: since its premiere in Stratford-upon-Avon in 2010, it has now been performed in 100 cities across the globe.
Clocking performances in over 50 cities in the USA - including New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco - plus cities across the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the Middle East and Asia, it's one the widest toured productions in the RSC's history.
Written by Dennis Kelly and music by Tim Minchin, based on the beloved Roald Dahl children's book, the musical has won over 100 international awards, completed runs on the West End and Broadway, sparked multiple international tours, a non-English language production and a movie.
In June it completed its 2024 tour across Asia and UAE, with Abu Dhabi marking its 100th city.
