Dulwich College International

RSC Learning is working in partnership with Dulwich College International delivering arts education in eleven of its schools in Asia. Since 2016, we have delivered a programme of work including Teacher CPD, Artist Residencies and an annual Shakespeare Festival. Watch the latest Shakespeare Festival trailer.

The collaboration includes a wide variety of opportunities for students aged five to 18 to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Shakespeare’s works through using tried and tested strategies from the RSC’s rehearsal rooms. In 2025, students will have the opportunity to take part in an RSC Summer School in Stratford upon Avon, working with RSC Artists to create a performance within a week-long residential.

Fraser White, Executive Chairman and Founder of DCI

“Visual and Performing Arts are central to a Dulwich education. I am excited that we have been able to develop this partnership with the Royal Shakespeare Company, one of the world’s leading and most renowned theatre companies. It adds an extra valuable dimension to our students’ learning, taking it beyond the confines of the classroom.”

Jacqui O'Hanlon, Director of Creative Learning & Engagement, Royal Shakespeare Company

"We are committed to long term partnerships and meaningful cultural exchange and are therefore delighted to be continuing our partnership with DCI schools in Asia. We all share a belief that Shakespeare’s work belongs to the world; it offers us the opportunity to explore human experience in all its many guises and like all great works of arts, helps us understand ourselves, each other and the world we live in. We’ve had the joy of experiencing the truth of that with students and teachers across the DCI schools network."

Partnership feedback from teachers and students

Teacher CPD Programme, USA

I know the work I teach backwards and forwards, but I’ve never been so inspired as when working with you… These sessions are among the very best experiences of my teaching career, the kind of thing that makes you think teaching can be a reason for being!

Student Workshops, Cayman Islands

The passion, energy and dedication from the RSC reps was astonishing. The depth of responses, insights, dramatic choices and physical representations of Othello were absolutely brilliant. An invaluable experience – we really hope to repeat this in the future for our next generation of budding thespians!

Shakespeare Festival, Asia

I don’t think I would have ever imagined myself doing this work two years ago. Being able to express this side of myself, a side that I never knew I could embrace, was really something special.
