We want everything we do to be accessible to all our audiences, and are looking for ways to break down barriers so more people can enjoy theatre at its best.
The short taster films below give you a snapshot of what we offer.
Plan your visit
There are disabled parking bays opposite the theatre and in the surrounding streets. For a map of disabled parking in Stratford-upon-Avon visit the Accessible Stratford-upon-Avon website.
For more information on our location, parking and maps see Getting Here.
Accessible theatre
We want as many people as possible to experience theatre at its best at the RSC. As well as having wheelchair seats for all our shows and lift access to all levels of our theatres, we keep front row seats free for people who have difficulties seeing or hearing.
We run assisted performances for all our shows, and also offer Touch Tours ahead of audio-described performances. These give you the opportunity to experience the set, costumes and props used in the play.
If you are coming to one of our BSL interpreted performances, you can book onto one of our signed theatre tours to find out more about the magic of the RSC, from our beginnings in the 1800s all the way to the present day. BSL interpreted tours are also available at other points throughout the year.
Events and activities
We run regular events and activities. If you're not sure whether you can come or take part, then please get in touch and we'll do our best to make it happen.
Food and drink
Our cafes and bars, and our Rooftop Restaurant and cocktail bar on the third floor of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, are all accessible.
To help minimise queuing, you can order drinks online before or on the day of the performance - we will contact you with further information about how to do this.
