Would you like an affordable and low-carbon way of getting home from the theatre?
We have a responsibility to reduce any negative impacts of making theatre, promote positive action and address climate change. One of the ways we can do this is through transport, and encouraging our audiences to use low-carbon ways of getting to and from our theatres.
Late night buses
We are working with Stagecoach Midlands to pilot a late-night bus service from Stratford-upon-Avon. You can watch a show and then get back to Warwick, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Coventry by bus.
Running on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the X18 service’s last bus of the evening will now leave from the Bridge Street bus stop at 10.30pm. The stop is just a four-minute walk from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
Late night trains
Stratford-upon-Avon station in a 20-minute walk from the theatre and there are direct late trains serving stations to Birmingham, leaving at 10.43 and 11.30pm, as well to Banbury, via Warwick and Leamington Spa. Check rail timetables before travelling.
