What day does my priority booking open?

On your given priority booking day, booking opens from 10am. Bookings can be made via our website, by visiting our Box Office team in person at our Box Office counter, or over the phone by calling your dedicated ticketing hotline.

What is my Ticket Hotline?

Subscribers, Members and Patrons each have their own dedicated phone numbers. Please refer to your online account or welcome email for details.

How can I access priority booking?

If you are booking your tickets online, an online waiting room will be open from approximately 9.45am. At 10am, you’ll be randomly allocated a place in the queue. Once through the queue, you’ll then be able to log-in and book tickets. Our system will recognise your membership through your online log-in.

You can check your membership level and number under the ‘Membership’ tab once logged into your online account.

Phone bookings can be made from 10am on your priority booking day only. At all other times, phone lines will open from midday until 6pm (UK time). We anticipate a high demand for tickets on these days, so please have your membership number and performance dates ready while you wait and our Box Office team will get to you as soon as they can. Your membership number is the same as your customer number.

Do you limit the number of tickets Patrons, Members and Subscribers can purchase during Priority Booking and Public Booking?

You can purchase up to 9 tickets per performance in one transaction. If you’d like to attend as a group of 10 or more people, please email Groups@rsc.org.uk

We have some great discounts for groups of 10+, 50+ and 100+ which you can find out by visiting our Groups page. Please be aware we cannot offer group discounts until Subscriber booking opens. You are welcome to purchase more than 9 tickets across different transactions before our group discounts are available, but these tickets will be charged at full price.

How soon after purchasing Membership can I use my benefits?

You’ll become a Subscriber, Member or Patron immediately after purchase and should see this reflected in your online account. For all levels, a welcome email from us will come through within 24 hours of signing up.

For Patrons, a welcome pack containing your Patron card will be sent out to you within 3 weeks. Please bear in mind that during busy periods, these may take a little longer to get to you.

You do not have to wait for your card to arrive to start using your membership benefits. To access your discount in our Rooftop Restaurant, bars, cafes and RSC Shop prior to receiving your welcome pack, please use the membership e-card sent to your email after joining, or come to see our Box Office team when you visit us who will be able to print a temporary one for you.

How do I book access tickets?

If you have access needs or are Deaf, disabled or neurodiverse, tickets at our access rate can be purchased online by selecting the appropriate rate. Any seat in the auditorium can be selected. If you are unsure which seat will be most suitable for you, please contact the Box Office.

If you require the services of a companion, their ticket will be free. Essential companion tickets cannot be booked online, so please get in contact with the Box Office via your dedicated ticketing hotline, via email at Tickets@rsc.org.uk, or by visiting the Box Office counter in person so a member of the team can book you in.

For further information about our assisted performances, including the dates for all our current and upcoming productions, please visit our Assisted Performances page.

Can I book a wheelchair space online?

Wheelchair positions and wheelchair companion seats can be booked online. These tickets are indicated by a ‘W’ and ‘N’ on the seating plan. You can find these on Row K in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Row H in the Swan Theatre.

Can I upgrade my Membership?

If you are a Subscriber and wish to become a Member, an upgrade can be processed any time during your membership by paying the difference of £30 (£40 for Overseas Subscribers). Please contact the Membership team on 01789 331328 or email Membership@rsc.org.uk.
