Feel the magic of midsummer and camp out in your very own fairy bower.

The campsites are closed, but can you make somewhere cosy and magical to ‘camp out’ tonight?

Assistant Designers Caitlin Abbott and Isobel Nicolson give a workshop on how to create a fairy den at home and how to fill it with beautiful lights for Midsummer’s Eve.

Act 2, Scene 1, A Midsummer Night's Dream

There sleeps Titania sometime of the night,

Lulled in these flowers with dances and delight.

Using easy to find items and materials from around the house, Caitlin will show you clever ways to transform a space in your home or garden into a fairy bower, perfect for playing make believe, a romantic lockdown campout, or for somewhere immersive to cosy up and watch the rest of the Midsummer Festival.

And Isobel has designed atmospheric fairy lanterns made from things you can easily find around the house. Download the resource pack and materials list below, as well as patterns and images to decorate your lantern.
