The Two Gentlemen of Verona follows the journey of two young friends, Proteus and Valentine, as they travel from Verona to Milan in search of love and adventure accompanied by their comic servants and a dog. 

This play is a fantastic way to look at Shakespeare's comedies. It was the first comic play Shakespeare wrote and you can see lots of ideas in this play that appear in his later work. For students of all ages, the play also looks at themes such as:
